Presently a full-time composer based in the United States, Ola is also very interested in film, and his music draws a lot of inspiration from movies and cinematic music. Norway-born, New York-based musician Ola Gjeilo is a Julliard-educated composer known for his contemporary piano and choral works. The album features new arrangements of familiar Christmas carols in a beautiful and intimate setting, performed by Gjeilo on the piano, the string group 12 Ensemble, the Choir of Royal Holloway and conductor Rupert Gough.
